Below this percentage of purity cannot be used in food and pharmaceutical industries, as enforced by Food Ingredients Regulation published in Turkish Official Gazette.Purified CMC has been proven to be completely harmless to human beings and animals, also meets the purity requirement stated by FAO / WHO & FDA and the Food Chemicals Codex and EC - Legislation.Physically, it is in form of powder or granulated, white to creamy colored, tasteless, odorless and easily soluable in hot or cold water.Due to various properties, CMC has been used in different industries worldwide since World War II.
