ACISELSAN has been producing CMC (Carboxymethylcellulose) with the capacity of 3.500 Tons per year both for the domestic and international markets with technical and purified grades using German Wolf Walsrode know how.Na - CMC ( Sodium Carboxymethylcellulose) Chemically, Na CMC , a cellulose ether, is performed from alkali cellulose and SMCA (Sodium monochloreacetate) or MCA (Monochloreaceticacid) under the controlled conditions.The product, technical grade of CMC, is treated in several different ways; such as ethyl alcohol extraction and others in order to reach 99.5% (minimum percentage) purity, which is a requirement for the usage in food industry. Below this percentage of purity cannot be used in food and pharmaceutical industries, as enforced by Food Ingredients Regulation published in Turkish Official Gazette.Purified CMC has been proven to be completely harmless to human beings and animals, also meets the purity requirement stated by FAO / WHO & FDA and the Food Chemicals Codex and EC - Legislation.Physically, it is in form of powder or granulated, white to creamy colored, tasteless, odorless and easily soluable in hot or cold water.Due to various properties, CMC has been used in different industries worldwide since World War II. In Turkey , it was first introduced in 70's, its usage has been increasing since then.
